Basic Life Support

Heartsaver ("A") CPR Training

The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada has approved the new ECC Guidelines, as outlined in the November 2010 issue of Circulation, under ILCOR. The purpose of the Guideline change was to review and update published materials in light of scientific advances and clinical experience.

The new Heartsaver CPR Program teaches the skills and techniques to keep blood and oxygen flowing when the heart stops beating or there is an airway obstruction. This certificate program is geared towards the general public or anyone who requires basic life support (BLS) training. Recommended re-training every year in the Heartsaver CPR level should be completed to keep skills and techniques fresh. As with many special skills, there is no substitute for practice!

Skills taught:

* Adult CPR
* Adult choking
* Barrier Device/Pocket Mask
* AED introduction

Options:
Child & Infant CPR and Child & Infant Choking

Time required: 2-2 ½ hours

ADET strives to offer nothing short of the highest quality and most thorough programs, instructed only by qualified professionals in the field of Emergency Cardiac Care and Basic Life Support.
