Heathcare Provider (HCP-"C") CPR Training

The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada has approved the new ECC Guidelines, as outlined in the November 2010 issue of Circulation, under ILCOR. The purpose of the Guideline change was to review and update published materials in light of scientific advances and clinical experience.

The new HCP CPR Refresher Program teaches the skills and techniques to keep blood and oxygen flowing when the heart stops beating or there is an airway obstruction. This is an in-depth certificate program geared towards the Healthcare Professional for all basic cardiac and choking emergencies. The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada and American Heart Association strongly recommend annual re-training in all levels of CPR to keep skills and techniques fresh. As with many special skills, there is no substitute for practice!

Skills taught:

  • Adult/Child &Infant CPR
  • Adult/Child & Infant Choking
  • 2 Rescuer Adult/Child & Infant CPR
  • Barrier Device/Pocket Mask & BVM
  • AED

Time required: 2-2 ½ hours
